Slitscanning is a simple photographic technique that traditionally uses a tiny slit moving across an image to expose it continuously. This is essentially the same method a normal digital camera uses, but much slower. A standard camera captures an image in milliseconds, while a slitscan exposure can take seconds or even minutes.

TURBOSLITSCANNER is an experimental application that lets you explore this photographic technique. It includes various traditional and unconventional scanning methods, motion vector settings, as well as basic camera and color controls. The app is built as a PWA (Progressive Web App), which means you can download it and use it fully offline. It should work for Android or iOS.

Feel free to play with it. The source code will be released in future, more stable versions — it’s still a bit messy right now 🙂
