Through material, we experience and interact with the world. With generative AI, we are capable to generate fantastic, speculative concepts, even visualizations of non exisiting prototypes. One prominent problem is: the machine often has no proper factual foundation, what a material feels like, how it can be processed or how it can be combined. Therefore, this is an experimental database of diverse materials, that should work as a solid backbone for more realistic, more sustainable ideation pool for working with generative tools.
